A tree fell across the Litchfield County breakfast and brunch hotspot in the middle of Sunday brunch at Cara-Bean, in Watertown, said owner Jasmine Benjamin Jeffrey.

The large tree destroyed the restaurant's vent hood, but no one inside was injured.

Unfortunately, the restaurant, located at 49 DeForest St., can't operate without a vent hood so they are closed, Benjamin Jeffrey said.

"Hopefully, we will reopen later in the week," she said. "Our town workers are awesome and I know we will get the job finished quickly."
